I'm a strong believer in holistic medicine and feel that it should be used when possible for treatment, especially since it often includes drug therapies. The main goal is to treat the whole body, not just the disease itself, but also to promote well being on both a physical and psychological level. Although holistic treatment does employ drugs or other medications sometimes, the way that I view it is that they are merely used as an aid to help facilitate continuing positive lifestyle changes (i.e. healthy eating habits along with exercise) which give me more confidence in my ability to treat whatever issues I may have with medical conditions naturally instead of relying solely on prescription medications when all else fails like many peddle as the solution we need due to fear of relapse back into our old unhealthy habits we're trying so hard to shake off.
